For iPhone
A tuner you balance like a ball on a beam, and a metronome that never drifts. Guitar, 7-string, baritone, bass, ukulele and cuatro, with Drop D, DADGAD and the open tunings built in.
$3.99 once. No subscription, no ads, no account.
The beam tilts flat or sharp and the ball rolls with it. Park it on the green notch and the note goes green with a little haptic thump.
Standard, Drop D, Drop C, Drop B, Drop A, DADGAD, Open G, D, E, A and C, half and full step down, plus 7-string, baritone, 4 and 5 string bass, uke and Venezuelan cuatro.
Reads to a fraction of a cent from a 5-string bass low B to a uke's high strings, without the octave jumping cheap tuners do.
Sample-accurate timing from 20 to 300 BPM. Tap tempo, subdivisions, 2/4 to 12/8 or your own meter, accents you tap to set, four click sounds.
Start slow and climb a few BPM every few bars until you hit the tempo you're chasing. Keeps clicking with the screen locked.
The mic is on only while the tuner screen is open. Audio is analysed on your phone and never recorded or sent anywhere. No tracking, no network.

Rock On needs microphone access. Open the iPhone Settings app, scroll to Rock On, and turn on Microphone. In a noisy room, move the mic sensitivity slider in the app's Settings toward "Quiet room" or play a little closer to the phone.
Let the string ring on its own, mute the others, and pluck once rather than strumming. If a string keeps reading wrong, tap that string in the row at the bottom to lock the tuner onto it.
Pick your instrument from the row of chips, then tap the tuning name under it to open the full list. Chromatic mode shows the nearest note for anything else.
Yes. Once it's playing it keeps clicking in the background and with the screen locked until you tap Stop.
Tap the time signature box at the top right of the Metronome screen to pick a meter, and tap any beat spike to cycle it between accented, normal and muted.
Google Play is coming. The iPhone version ships first.
